The rain in Spain may stay mainly in the plain but here, above my fire escape, it stays mainly on the cranes. That's right, the cranes are still outside on the fire escape where I photographed them yesterday and it's been raining all night.
Well, 2 reasons:
1. It is an exercise in letting go. The cranes have been with me a while and it's one of those weird things where I kinda became attached. (Being emotionally attached to 1000 paper birds = Not Healthy)
2. I'm still not really sure how this wish thing works and I have read in one or two places that the crane wish is similar to that of the prayer attached to a Tibetan prayer flag - that as the wind passes over the object and it disintegrates - it releases the wish/prayer to the wind to be spread around and carried out. I thought that sounded nice - so that's what I'm going with.
