I'd like to thank my Swedish friends for bringing me IKEA. Tonight, they kindly upgraded my crane making surface from crappy cardboard box lid to fancy, soft-bottomed lap desk.
Crane Count: 54

Dirty Pretty Things
Recently I was asked why I often seek the company of Christmas Haters. Well friends, yada yada yada, this post once said, in perhaps a more inflammatory manner, that all we really need is more acceptance and understanding in the world. And that I like glitter, specifically, Martha Stewart Glitter from Michael's.
And then the post originally ended like this: I JUST WANT PRETTY THINGS!
And: Christmas carol's are just so damn catchy!
And then: I'll be a well glittered friend to all religions.
And finally: Next Project: A full line of glittered deities?

Buried
This is my constant struggle: I have more ideas than time and motivation. I love to think about things and envision them, but never actually get to them. I have lists on paper and lists in my computer(many many of them) full of ideas that I'd like to take on; most of them I even have the tools and materials to do - I just never get to them. I'm buried in lists.
Now, every once in a while I will get motivated for a night or two or three and get a few things done. And then the project sits half-finished and I start a new one. Well, all of these half-finished projects are burying me!
So, I'm going to finish a project. Of course not one that is already half finished that I have been working on for more than a year (or yearS), I'm starting a brand new project and dammit, I'm going to finish it.![]()
I've opted for 1000 Cranes. I've been making paper cranes since I was a girlscout and I understand that if you fold 1000 of them that you get a wish. Since I am unable to pretend that airplanes in the night sky are shooting stars and I could really use a wish right now, I'm folding.
